Registration now open for writing, acting classes!
Tell all your WOC writer and actor friends -- for the first time, Thinking In Full Color is offering two classes in Jersey City!
Monologues for Women of Color is an acting-intensive class which will give WOC actors an opportunity to work on a piece written by a woman of their own background, mastering a monologue with more authenticity than most WOC roles they will encounter. In the process, they will also explore the importance of embracing one's own identity and better understanding the identities of others.
Theatrical Writing and Performance for Women of Color is a writing-intensive class that also incorporates acting. In this course, writers will craft one of their original works into a full-fledged monologue. In the process, they will explore the importance of Communication, Emotion and Social Impact in their writing. This class was modeled after our recent residency at Hudson County Community College.
Both classes run from Feb. 3 to March 24, when there will be a special performance open to the students' friends, family, fans and the public!
