Black causes you should support

Looking for ways to support Black causes, but not sure which ones to choose?
When In Full Color recently raised $1,720 through our Bloom Virtual Summit and Juneteenth overmatching campaigns, we faced a similar dilemma.
While our efforts were originally focused on raising funds for Black Lives Matter, our campaigns greatly exceeded our expectations and we decided to broaden our impact.
We chose the Audre Lorde Project, which advocates for Black queer folx; the Black Diaspora Club at McNair Academic H.S., a completely student-run group that organized one of the biggest local protests; and the Jersey City, N.J. branch of the NAACP. To see how we divided the funds, click here.
It was important for us to make sure Black queer folx weren't being left out of the conversation, that Black youth were being empowered as visionary leaders and that our local Black community was uplifted.
We've also supported Black Men United in Jersey City, the Minnesota Freedom Fund and Darnella Frazier, the brave girl who videotaped George Floyd's murder.
