Bloom Virtual Summit raises $2,500 for marginalized artists of color

The Bloom Virtual Summit, two days of workshops and performances, raised over $2,500 to support our upcoming seventh annual theater show, In Full Color 2021.

The event featured the following schedule:

FRIDAY, MARCH 19

  • 6:10 - L.I.G.H.T. U.P.: Spiritual Business Strategies for Womxn of Color || Adelina Tancioco (Surrendered Healing)

  • 7:10 - Musical Performance || Joanne Villavieja

  • 7:25 - Screw the It Factor: Radical Acting Fundamentals || Rose Kim (Art Rat Theatre)

SATURDAY, MARCH 20

  • 12:10 - The Business of Sustainable Art || Shekhinah B. (The Women’s Coalition for Empowerment Inc.)

  • 1:10 - Healing and Harmony: Finding Alignment in the Chaos || Marilyn Burgos

  • 2:10 - The (Very Chill) Introduction to Playwriting || Alyssa Haddad

  • 3:10 - Pole Dance Performance || Kitty Hok

  • 3:40 - Flow with Bele: Movement Flow/Yoga || Isabele Rosso, Sponsored by NimbusFIT

  • 4:40 - Poetry & Performance Masterclass || reg e. gaines

The summit was inspiring, educational and collaborative -- an overall amazing event of community and joy! Our need, however, was not completely met. We fell about $500 short of our goal of $3,000, which will create paid opportunities for artists of color who are women or of other marginalized genders. If you believe in our cause and want to help fund IFC2021, make a tax-deductible donation here.
