Updated: Jan 10, 2022

UPDATE: This show has been postponed! Please join us on the NEW DATE -- Thursday, March 10 at 8 pm!

Our hit stand-up comedy series and open mic That One Comedy Night is back with a returning fan favorite, an IFC rockstar and two exciting new comedians.

Join us for That One (Homecoming) Night at P.S. Wine Bar, in the basement of Pet Shop Bar, 193 Newark Ave., Jersey City, NJ.

Meet our performers!

Hometown fave Kristina Acevedo is back on the mic! After knockin' out crowds with her Effed Up story in 2019, Kristina is ready to share new shit for That One (Homecoming) Night.

After five years of cracking us up on the In Full Color stage, Nancy Méndez-Booth is crossing over to the dark side, into the world of stand-up comedy!

About Nancy: Artist. Puerto Rican descent. NYC-born. JC-based. Winner of the JCAC 2020 Literary Arts award. Three-time IFC alumnae -- La Nancy has done it all!

Publications include Poets & Writers, Latina, Salon, OZY, VIDA.org, and the Latina Outsiders: Remaking Latina Identity anthology. Performances include Cornelia Street Café, The Moth, In Full Color, Hear Her Call Caribbean-American Women’s Theater Festival, Midtown International Theatre Festival. Alum of Rutgers-Newark (MFA, MA), Amherst College (BA), Vermont Studio Center, Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, Blue Mountain Center, and NJ Women Playwrights Program.

She's currently completing her fiction manuscript, The Mother Land and actively seeking representation. Follow @nmenbooth to keep up with Nancy!

Last but not least, give a warm welcome to Shae Thomas, who is joining the IFC family! Shae is an adorable, one-dimpled comedian. Congratulations to our audiences who will be enjoying her~

There will also be an open mic portion, where you can come up and share! Sign-up begins at 7:45 pm. Our venue, Pet Shop Bar, is an amazing wine bar, bar and vegetarian restaurant. And the bartenders are our buds! Enjoy delicious food and fantastic drinks during your set -- a portion of the venue's proceeds, as well as donations gathered at the event, will benefit In Full Color. (Admission is free, but donations are strongly encouraged!)
